Announcing my debut’s sequel, The Fury’s Curse

Nine years ago, I set out to write the first draft of my debut novel’s sequel, which is now The Fury’s Curse. My husband and I had just moved to South Dakota, and we’d been stuck in hotels for about 45 days while we closed on our first house together. I’d finished the first draft in just over 30 days, which for me was a record.

You see, I started writing my series in 2012, but when I met my husband in 2013, I decided to put writing aside to focus on our relationship. When we moved in 2014, it was only fitting that, while we ran out of things to do together in our hotel room, I got back to it. Over the last nine years, that first version has gone through many revisions to become version 6 – my final draft.

I’m not one to write “The End” when I’m finished. Instead, I focus on final formatting, making sure my page breaks are appropriate, building marketing materials, etc. That’s why when I decided to announce my sequel’s completion, I turned my focus to my author platform.

Over the next few weeks, readers will notice some changes to my platform. I’ve updated my author Facebook to reflect some of my Twitter features, and I’ve rolled out my website. This blog will also continue to live on my website as I’ve moved from WordPress to Squarespace.

I look forward to sharing all the details very soon. For now, subscribe to my newsletter to be the first to hear about writing tips, tricks, and new releases!
