It’s 2 p.m. and I’ve been working on putting this blog up for the past two hours. As I write this, I’m sitting in a cheap hotel computer chair counting down the days till I get to sleep in my own bed and wake up next to my blue-eyed love on our anniversary in 16 days.
Living in a hotel is difficult. But it is the price I pay to better myself for my family and my career. As a military photojournalist, I am fortunate to be able to travel around the world and my native country telling stories about its various missions and the people executing them.
However, this isn’t about me loathing the fact I am lonely, or me looking for pity.
This is a celebration! This is one of many steps toward the road to publication for me as I revise my novels and work on bettering them for querying.
